Tots in Mind Crib Tent

This recall is being issued by: Consumer Products Safety Commission

Recalled on: May 16, 2012

Description: Five major retailers have agreed to stop the sale of Tots in Mind crib tents which were involved in a recall in 2010 (see Portable Playard Tent by Tots in Mind Due to Strangulation Hazard). The dome-shaped mesh tent secures to a playard using 12 plastic clips. These clips can break or can be removed by child. If the clips are broken or removed, a child can lift the tent and become entrapped between the tent and the playard frame, posing a strangulation hazard. The following crib tents and portable playards are involved in this recall: Original Cozy Crib Tent, Cozy Tent II, Portable Play Yard Tent, Crib Tent for Convertible Cribs, and Portable Play Yard Tent Plus Cabana Kit.

Tots in Mind, Inc is no longer in business and therefore repair kits for the recalled crib tents are no longer available. The following retailers have stopped the sale of Tots in Mind crib tents and will offer a full refund/store credit to consumers:
