| This recall is being issued by: Consumer Products Safety Commission Recalled on: February 11, 2011 Description: Summer Infant recalls approximately 58,000 Slim and Secure™ video monitors. The rechargeable batteries in the handheld video monitors can overheat, rupture and pose a burn hazard. The recall involves video monitors (model #02800 and model #02805) with batteries that are marked with the letters "MP" or "BK" and also unmarked batteries. Batteries that are marked "TCL" are not included in this recall. These moniotors were sold exclusively at Babies R Us from September 2009 to May 2010. |
Have this product?: The CPSC is recommending that you stop using the monitor and contact Summer Infant at 1-800-426-8627
for a replacement battery. Summer Infant will send a postage paid envelope to return your old battery for proper disposal. To fill out the form online, click here. In the meantime, the monitor can be used on AC power with power cord.
