Infant Death Prompts Recall of Dorel Asia cribs

Recalled on: January 19, 2010

Description: Approximately 635,000 drop-side and non-drop side Dorel Asia cribs are being recalled due to one infant death and 10 infant injuries. Entrapment and suffocation can occur when the hardware on the drop-side cribs malfunction. In addition, there were 36 reports of the crib slats breaking posing injury and entrapment hazards. These cribs were sold at K-Mart, Sears and Wal-Mart from January 2005- December 2009. The following model numbers are involved in this recall:
