Description: Approximately 22,000 full-size and portable drop-side cribs recalled due to malfunctioning hardware. When the hardware that secures the railing to the crib frame detaches or malfunctions, a child can become entrapped, potentially suffocate against the crib mattress or sustain injuries from falling out of the crib. Injuries can also occur from the exposed hardware. In addition, the portable crib mattress support hardware and the drop-side release latch can break easily, and the slats can loosen, break and detach from the crib.

The CPSC is recommending that you immediately stop using the crib and find a safe sleeping environment for your child. An immobilizer kit will be available for the full size drop-side after July 1st, 2011. This kit iwill disable the drop rail from moving up and down. Click here to request the immobilizer kit.
