Description: The CPSC issued a safety warning to consumers today regarding "SafetyCraft" brand (also known as Foundations SafetyCraft crib) full-size and portable drop-side cribsmanufactured or distributed by Generation 2Worldwide. These cribs contain the same drop-side hardware that was used on Generation 2 Worldwide ChildESIGNS brand drop-side cribs which were recalled in February 2010. All "SafetyCraft"drop-side cribs, including model number 92-8112, are involved in this recall. There is limited information on the quantity of cribs sold and location of distribution since the company went out of business in 2005.
The hardware on these cribs can malfunction. When the hardware that secures the railing to the crib frame detaches or malfunctions, a child can become entrapped, potentially suffocate against the crib mattress or sustain injuries from falling out of the crib.
Have this product?: Do not to attempt to fix these cribs. Immediately stop using the crib and find a safe sleeping environment for your child. Be sure to visit the CPSC's Crib Information Center
