Description: Phil&teds USA is recalling Explorer and Hammerhead strollers due to brake failure. The "Series 1" strollers (prior to January 2011) are involved in this recall and include the following serial numbers: 0610/0001 (June 2010, unit #1) and 0111/4788 (January 2011, unit #4788).
Have these products?: The CPSC is recommending that you stop using the recalled strollers immediately and contact phil&teds USA to obtain a free brake assembly upgrade. For Explorer customers, phil&teds will send a complete new frame fitted with a new brake assembly (watch this video for proper assembly). For Hammerhead customers, phil&teds will provide a pre-paid return shipping carton and will repair the stroller. Request a free frame upgrade online or by calling 855 652-9019.
