Description: Britax recalls approximately 20,800 B-Nimble umbrella strollers due to possible brake failure. When the brake pedal is pressed, a click can be heard which gives a false impression that the stroller is locked when in fact it is not. When the brake is not engaged, the stroller can move unexpectedly and can cause injury to the child.
B-Nimble umbrella strollers involved in this recall were manufactured between August 2010 and February 2011 and include the following model numbers:
Have these products?: The CPSC is recommending that you immediately stop using the stroller and contact Britax at 1-800-683-2045 to request an improved replacement stroller. Britax will send a free replacement stroller with a modified brake. The CPSC and Britax warn consumers to ensure the brake is fully engaged if using the recalled stroller while awaiting a new stroller.
