This recall is being issued by: Consumer Products Safety Commission
Recalled on: September 14, 2010
Description: Albee Baby, of East Rutherford, N.J., is recalling approximately 130 fixed-sided cribs labeled as Sorelle "Prescott".
These cribs are re-labeled Simplicity cribs that were recalled in April 2010 after a child suffocated between the mattress and crib frame when the mattress support frame broke. Simplicity cribs contain a tubular metal mattress-support frame which has been shown to bend or detach causing part of the mattress to drop and creating an entrapment hazard. The CPSC explains that "this recall is limited to Sorelle "Prescott" cribs sold online by AlbeeBaby.com between July 2009 and October 2009".
Have these products?: The CPSC is recommending that you immediately stop using the product and find a safe sleep environment for your child until a new crib can be purchased. Contact Albee Baby at 1-877-692-5233 for a replacement crib, refund or store credit.
