This recall is being issued by: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
Recalled on: April 15, 2014
Description: Baby Trend recalls TrendZ FastBack 3-in-1 car seats due to a defect in the harness crotch buckle. The buckle can become progressively more difficult to open or can become stuck in a latched condition if food and liquids are dried on the buckle. This may make it difficult to remove a child from the vehicle in the event of an emergency. There is no such risk if the buckle is functioning normally. Models FB60070 & FB60408 which were manufactured 10/2011-7/2013 are the two models involved in this recall.
Have this product?: If your car seat is involved in this recall, contact Baby Trend to receive a free replacement buckle and instructions at 800-328-7363. Please do not return the car seats to retailers. If you are experiencing difficulty unlatching your buckle before your remedy kit arrives, cleaning the buckle should alleviate any difficulty.
